What I Can Help You With
I've been fixing, installing, building, and solving problems for years. Now I'm here to do the same for you.

How It Works
Simple, honest, and no runaround. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
Tell me what you need
Send a quick request or give me a call. Share a photo or a punch list — the more detail, the better. I usually reply the same day.
I assess & quote honestly
I'll confirm the scope, give you a straight price up front, and tell you plainly if something is outside what I can do — no surprises.
I do it right & clean up
I show up on time, do the work carefully, and leave the space cleaner than I found it. Not happy? I'll make it right.

What I Can & Can't Do
I keep my work squarely within the California minor-work exemption — and I'll always tell you honestly when a job calls for a licensed professional instead.
What I handle
- TV mounting, cameras, and smart-home setup
- Furniture, shelving, and closet assembly
- Faucet, fixture, and non-gas appliance swaps
- Drywall patching, caulking, and paint touch-ups
- Door hardware, locks, and latch repairs
- Small plumbing fixes and drain clearing
When I bring in a pro
- Anything needing a building permit
- New electrical circuits or panel work
- Gas lines and gas appliance connections
- Major structural or roofing work
- Jobs over the exemption cap — I'll refer a licensed pro
Homekey Solutions is not a licensed contractor. All work is performed under California Business & Professions Code § 7048 — each project under $1,000 (labor and materials combined), with no building permit required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to what most people ask before booking.
Are you a licensed contractor?
No — and I'm upfront about it. I work under California's minor-work exemption (B&P Code § 7048), which covers jobs under $1,000 in combined labor and materials that don't require a building permit. If a project is bigger than that or needs a permit, I'll tell you and point you toward a licensed pro.
What areas do you serve?
I'm based in La Mesa and serve all of San Diego County — La Mesa, El Cajon, Spring Valley, Bonita, Escondido, San Diego, and the surrounding areas.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the job. Most small jobs are a flat price, and larger punch lists may be hourly. Either way, I give you a straight quote before I start so there are no surprises.
What kinds of jobs do you take?
TV mounting and smart-home setup, furniture and shelving assembly, faucet and fixture swaps, non-gas appliance hookups, drywall and paint touch-ups, door and lock hardware, small plumbing fixes, staining, hauling, and general repairs. No job too small.
What if my job is too big or needs a permit?
I'll be honest with you and hand it off. On a recent dryer job, for example, the concealed in-wall duct needed a camera inspection I couldn't safely do — so I referred it to a specialist rather than guess. Your trust matters more than one invoice.
How soon can you come out?
I usually reply the same day and can often schedule within a few days, depending on the week. For urgent fixes, call or text and I'll do my best to fit you in.
How can I pay?
Cash, check, credit, Venmo, or Zelle — whatever's easiest for you.
Ready to cross it off your list?
Tell me what you need and I'll get back to you, usually the same day. No job too small.
